Almost every teenage girl and their mother’s were spotted at the Rogers Centre on August 1st and 2nd singing their hearts out to the biggest boy band in the world, One Direction. They boys of One Direction return to Toronto for their first stop of their North American “Where we are” tour. The band was supported by Australian band, 5 Seconds of Summer, who performed a thirty minute set of all their hit songs including She Looks so perfect.
Once Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Louis Tomlinson, Zayn Malik, and Liam Payne were on stage all eyes were on the boys of One Direction with over 50,000 screaming fan girls. Opening the show with Midnight Memories, the boys zipped through the show with hardly any breaks in between songs singing their other hit songs such as Kiss You, Live While We’re Young, Moments, Little Things, Story of My Life and What Makes You Beautiful. Seeing the boys perform every year, they still know how to put on an amazing show and keep fans singing along to every lyric of each song. The band performed most of their set on the catwalk that was designed for fans who were further down on the floor to get an even closer look at the boys. Styles, noticing some signs that fans made, he wished a couple girls a happy birthday. Though this tour wasn’t as interactive as their previous tour, but it didn’t stop fans from coming to their two sold out shows.
