From June 17-21, not only did NXNE take over Toronto, but Yonge and Dundas Square (YDS) transformed into a large stage for three nights of free all ages shows. Bands such as Hollerado, Ty Dolla $ign, Bootsy Collins, The New Pornographers and more took over the stage.
We managed to catch The New Pornographers on June 20, who took the stage at 9 p.m. With a full crowd, the band played some of their old and new hits. The band first formed in 1999 and released six more albums since then. The band proved that they are still as strong as when they first came out, and even played some of their older hits. They also played their newer songs such as “Champions of Red Wine.” It was a perfect way to end Saturday night.
